Miss Josie
My name is Michelle Romano and I created the Waggs & Purrs blog bepaws pets are my passion. I write about all-things pets. I am a proud pet Mom to Emma and Yeti; both canine rescues from Lhasa Apso Rescue Colorado. They are my heart and soul and have me wrapped around their little paws. My life is also shared with two calico cats named after both my Grandmothers, Josie and Sophie, and rescued from a vet clinic in San Antonio, Texas. They are my inspiration…they all create daily joy and constant smiles.
I am a pet-lover, pet advocate, pet rescuer, pet sitter and pet blogger. Dogs and cats have always been a part of my life from my earliest memories. Over the years I have fostered 12 homeless, throw-away dogs that now have loving, forever homes; a new leash on life. Fostering these dogs was the most life-fulfilling thing I’ve ever done. I watched them come into rescue sad, lost, hurting and just wanting to be loved. With loving care, patience and medical attention they blossomed, regaining faith in their human counterparts.
